It’s easy to get in your daily workout when you are living in Manchester. The neighborhood is full of fitness programs that are designed to keep you healthy and in shape. You can start improving your health by checking out the following activities and gyms in Manchester.

Fitness Centers

If you need a fitness center that offers more than just equipment, Muvement may be the place for you. Muvement offers a variety of programs to help you improve your overall health. The individual and group programs include nutrition coaching, personal training, Zumba, Turbo Kick, and Catalyst Group Training. You can also join the Evolve program, which includes goal planning, seminars, nutrition tips, training, and monthly assessments. Every member of this program receives a manual to keep track of their progress. Programs such as Catalyst and Zumba take place Monday through Saturday, and you can book an appointment with your personal trainer or coach. The classes and programs take place at 52 Main Street. If you are looking to stick with just one type of exercise, you can always try CrossFit training. CrossFit is an intense cardio and strength training style that burns calories, improves cardio endurance, and increases joint mobility. CrossFit Thin Blue Line offers programs that are taught by a certified instructor with plenty of experience in CrossFit. The classes are held Monday through Friday at various hours of the day. There are classes at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Saturday, and team training and specialty classes are held on Sunday. You can use the open gym every day from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m.

The monthly CrossFit Membership prices range from $169 for one person to $279 for two family members, and there is an extra $99 per month fee for each additional family member in the same household. The three month student athlete program is $299 and must be paid full in advance.


Are you thinking of adding boxing to your fitness routine? This is a great way to improve your cardiovascular health, body strength, flexibility, and balance. You can take boxing or kickboxing classes at Bare Bones Boxing. The gym includes a full size boxing ring, state-of-the-art machines, free weights, and plenty of space to exercise. Yoga is a type of exercise that focuses on posture, deep breathing, and meditation. There are many physical and mental benefits to yoga, including lower blood pressure, weight loss, and stress reduction. Lotus Yoga keeps every class small so that you can work with your instructor. The classes include Kripalu Yoga, Gentle Kripalu, Intensive Flow Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Baby and Mom Yoga. The schedule depends on the yoga class you plan to take, but the classes are usually held Monday through Saturday. The prices range from $16 for a walk-in to $130 for a 10 class card. If you are not looking to join a fitness program right now, you can stay healthy by hiking at Case Mountain. Hiking is good for the heart, lungs, muscles, and bones. There are several trails at Case Mountain, including a trail that connects the area to Gay City State Park. You can use the trails for hiking, running, walking, and bicycling. Case Mountain is located 10 miles east of Hartford.
